Self-cleaning is a convenient feature of a Samsung oven. You can perform this procedure without the help of a professional. Just follow the instructions that come with your appliance. Remove the racks, lower drawer pan before running the self-cleaning cycle. Also, remove the nickel oven shelves. These can easily damage the porcelain coating on your oven. If you do not know how to do it, here are a few tips to follow.
First, turn the oven off. Make sure the door lock lever is in the locked position. If the door is open, the self-cleaning cycle will be canceled. After the self-cleaning cycle is complete, you need to open and close the door. If you forget to lock the door, the display will show “DOOR” or “LOCK.” This timer will last for a specified time. If you forget to close the door within 45 seconds, the cycle will be cancelled.
If you do not close the door after the self-cleaning cycle, the oven will be automatically reset. If you open the door during the process, the door lock lever will blink and then stay on until the cleaning cycle is complete. Afterwards, the oven will rise to the self-cleaning temperature and hold it for the required amount of time. After the time period is up, the oven will shut down, and a beep will be heard six times.
The next step is to set the cleaning cycle to self-clean mode. The self-cleaning cycle is triggered by the self-clean button. The oven will automatically turn off once the cleaning cycle is complete. If you forget to close the door, the self-cleaning mode will not begin. A clean cycle will be finished in approximately four minutes. If the door is open during the cleaning process, the cycle will cancel.
To set the self-cleaning mode, turn on the oven’s self-cleaning function. The self-clean setting will make the oven clean only those parts that are listed in the manual. When you set the cycle to a self-clean mode, you should not leave the racks in the oven for long. Surface burners should be turned off during this process. As the cleaning cycle begins, close the door.
To start the cycle, place the cleaning pad in the desired soil level on the oven’s rack. After four seconds, press the “door” button to begin the self-clean cycle. Then, wait for the self-cleaning cycle to complete. If the door is opened during the cleaning process, the cycle will cancel. Then, close the door and let the oven do its job. If you want to cancel the cleaning, close the door.
If you have the option to cancel the self-cleaning cycle, simply unplug the appliance and place it in a safe place. After the cycle is completed, the door will be locked and the oven will begin heating. If the door is open for more than 45 seconds, it will cancel the cleaning process. If the door is left open after the cleaning is complete, the cycle will cancel. If you use the surface burners, you must remove the pads while the self-cleaning cycle is running.
After selecting a self-cleaning cycle, make sure to close the door and lock the oven. The self-cleaning cycle will start in about four seconds. To stop the cycle, close the door after the cleaning is complete. When the cleaning is finished, the door lock lever will blink again. If the door is not closed within 45 seconds, it will cancel. Then, wait for the self-cleaning to finish.
To activate the self-cleaning cycle, lock the door. Once you have locked the door, press the door lock lever on the top of the oven. Then, the self-cleaning cycle will begin. After the 4 seconds, the oven will start to flash the CLEAN pad. Then, if the door is left open for more than 45 seconds, the cycle will be cancelled and the machine will be unusable.
